Carter B. Tallman, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Carter B. Tallman, M. D., F.A.C.S., president and founder of Tallman Eye Associates, graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and interned at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. He completed his residency at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital and the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.

Along with his practice of ophthalmology, Dr. Tallman has taught at Northern Essex Community College School of Nursing, Boston University
School of Medicine and Boston College Graduate School of Education. He was clinical director of the Low Vision Clinic at Boston University School of Medicine for many years and is a founding director of the National Low Vision Clinical Society; he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Perkins School for the Blind. Dr. Tallman served as President of the Medical Staff at Lawrence General Hospital from 1984 - 1986. His special interests include medical and laser management of eye diseases such as Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy and Dry Eye.

In his spare time, Dr. Tallman can be found traveling or playing golf. He and his wife, Sylvia, have four grown children.
